Better Protection
A custom fit outperforms bulky over-the-counter appliances, which are loosely fitted and typically fail to offer the protection needed against oral injuries.
Do you grind your teeth at night or play a contact sport? Custom mouthguards safeguard your smile and reduce your risk of injury, joint pain, and dental emergencies. Canyon Country Dental Care makes these protective appliances to fit your bite exactly, whether you need one for sleep or for the field.

A custom mouthguard is an acrylic appliance built from an impression or digital scan of your own unique bite, so it fits snugly around your teeth. Because it is molded to your smile, it stays comfortable, stays in place, and will not distract or irritate you while you sleep or compete. Our dentist can customize materials and colors to reflect your needs, including matching your jersey or team colors. Children and teens usually need a replacement each season, while adults often wear theirs for several years.
A custom fit outperforms bulky over-the-counter appliances, which are loosely fitted and typically fail to offer the protection needed against oral injuries.
If you clench or grind, the acrylic appliance takes the brunt of the force instead of your teeth, saving both your enamel and your existing dental work.
Creating a buffer between the upper and lower teeth prevents your jaws from fully clenching, which naturally rests the joint and reduces strain on the TMJ.
Acrylic appliances are easily replaced as they wear down, and the cost is only a fraction of what it takes to repair broken teeth after a sports injury.
Getting fitted takes very little of your time.
Request an AppointmentOur dentist reviews your oral health history, symptoms, age, and activity level in order to recommend the right type of protective appliance.
We capture an impression or a digital scan of your own unique bite, and that replica becomes the model used to build your appliance.
A dental lab crafts your guard from that model, with materials and colors chosen to reflect exactly how and when you plan to wear it.
You return to try on the finished appliance, and we adjust it until it sits snugly around your teeth without any pressure spots.
We show you exactly how to clean and store the appliance so that the acrylic does not warp, distort, or begin to harbor bacteria.
Several everyday symptoms point toward a professionally fitted appliance.
Morning Headaches — You wake up with headaches or with ear and jaw pain, symptoms that often trace right back to nighttime clenching and tooth grinding.
Worn Enamel — Your teeth look shorter or flatter than they once did, or your existing dental work keeps chipping and fracturing without explanation.
Contact Sports — You or your child plays a contact sport where a fall or blow to the face could break a tooth, knock one out, or cause a concussion.
Nighttime Grinding — Someone has heard you grinding at night, or you have started snoring, both of which can point toward a related sleep concern worth raising.
Our guards come from a dental lab, not a drugstore shelf. Comfort is what makes people actually wear them.
We make athletic guards, bruxism mouthguards, and bite splints. Smaller, discreet splints are available for daytime clenchers.
We discuss snoring, high blood pressure, and trouble concentrating. Those clues sometimes point toward sleep apnea.
Bring your appliance to every exam. We check the wear and recommend replacement at the right time.
Real Patients, Real Stories
Live down the street and casually walked in for a checkup. Best Dental experience in my life. Dentist Dabirian and his staff are truly some of the best in the industry. Dr Dabirian takes his time explaining thoroughly for preventative and proactive care. Even if it doesn’t make him the most money he will recommend whats best for his patients. Every time I come into his office I feel like he’s passionate about helping other people Highly recommend
fantastic dentist! office is very clean and neat, cleaning was quick and efficient! dr was very educated and informed us of other dental clinics (private or otherwise that's eligible for medicare) around us for wisdom teeth removal. he's a great guy and wonderful dentist!
Great experience. Super friendly staff, quick and easy visit, and the dentist explained everything clearly. Clean office and no pressure at all. Would definitely recommend.
Dr. Dabirian is professional, and gentle. As a woman who does not enjoy dental visits, he always makes the experience warm and friendly while thoroughly explaining everything he's doing and why it's important which was very comforting and distracting (during numbing shots he did it seamlessly!) If you visit you'll know you're coming to a professional who actually cares. The office is also nice and clean.
Recently visited. Had to leave my dentist office of which I was a pt for over 20 years due to his retirement The new owners didn't have my insurance. You can imagine after having the same dr for yrs I was apprehensive. The staff at Canyon Country Dental were extremely nice. I received very good service. Xrays we're done very efficiently. Jollee was professional and quick to make what can be an uncomfortable procedure, doable. I read that sometimes they upsell. However, I feel the extra services they offer are all optional and there is no pressure to buy. They are current and offer up to date services ie your chart is electronical and you can access it from your phone. I think I will be very content with my care at this office.
I've seen Dr. Dabirian three times now (one general cleaning/X-rays, and two visits for fillings), and I can confidently say he's the best dentist I've ever had. From the moment I walked into the clinic, it's so so clear Dr. Dabirian cares about the patient experience. He explains everything he's doing before and during treatment, walks through X-rays in detail, and never leaves you wondering what's happening in your own mouth. But I have to give Dr. D his flowers for the tiny details! Just a few examples: during numbing injections, he'd gently shake my cheek to help distract from a pinch; he gives me a squishy mouth block to help relax my jaw; after a filling, he asks over and over how my bite feels, happily making tiny adjustments until it feels as close to my natural bite as possible. Marta is fantastic too. The two of them have great banter, and every visit feels like visiting folks who have known me for 20 years. The office itself is clean, spacious, and comfortable. They use digital forms and text reminders that make everything easy peasy. Most importantly, Dr. Dabirian is just a genuinely kind person who's clearly passionate about helping people. I recommend Canyon Country Dental Care without hesitation. (And at the time of writing this, they accept Medi-Cal patients!)
Let me start by saying Dr. Dabirian and his team are GREAT! After recently moving to Santa Clarita (2 years ago lol) and not wanting to drive 40 min to my old dentist, I finally bit the bullet and to find someone closer. I am so happy I found Canyon Country Dental and they are absolutely awesome. I dont feel like he is trying to get me to do unnecessary work and he explains everything as he goes. His assistant (Martha) is sweet and makes me feel comfortable and well taken care of. I am so glad I found them as i am not to keen on going to the dentist...hence the 2 year postponement lol
Very kind, caring, helped my cavity. Thank you!
Literally the sweetest dentist! I actually enjoy coming here because the whole office feels so welcoming and comfortable. The staff is friendly, professional, and always makes sure you feel at ease. They take the time to explain everything clearly and genuinely care about their patients. I would really recommend coming to this place to anyone.
I had a great experience with Dr. Ali Dabirian and his team. He took X-rays for both me and my wife and provided a thorough cleaning for me. Everything was handled professionally and efficiently, and he did an excellent job making sure we were comfortable throughout the visit. Dr. Dabirian and his staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. It’s not always easy to find a dentist you can trust, but I would definitely recommend Dr. Dabirian to anyone looking for quality dental care. *******They accept Medi-Cal*********
By far the best dental office and experience I've ever had. For years I have been trying to find a good dental office and good Doctor but have been struggling which put me off getting a cleaning for about a year and a half. When I called canyon country dental care it was actually the Dental Doctor who answered and was very professional and honest right away. This office is extremely clean and located in a very nice plaza. Dr Dabirian spent his time thoroughly with me and made sure all of my questions were answered. You also cannot beat the price for everything I got done which was X-rays and a dental cleaning. I am so glad I found my new dental office!
I had an excellent experience at this dental office from start to finish. The staff was welcoming, professional, and made me feel completely at ease the moment I walked in. The office itself is clean, modern, and very well-organized, which immediately gave me confidence in the level of care I would receive. Dr.Dabirian took the time to explain everything clearly and answered all of my questions with patience and honesty. I never felt rushed or pressured into unnecessary treatments, which I really appreciated. During the procedure, they were gentle, attentive, and consistently checked in to make sure I was comfortable. Definitely recommend anyone in need of dental advice or help to visit Dr.Dabirian

The price of custom mouthguards in Canyon Country, CA, varies with the materials used, the design, and whether dental insurance applies. Our dentist recommends the right type at your consultation and provides a price quote at the same time.
Many plans apply benefits toward custom mouthguards in Canyon Country, CA, particularly bruxism splints prescribed for grinding. We show you the estimate with any benefits already applied before you commit.
Stock and boil-and-bite guards are inexpensive and easy to find, but they are much bulkier and more loosely fitted than a custom appliance. They can also be uncomfortable to sleep in, which makes them harder to wear consistently.
Use a soft toothbrush, antibacterial hand soap, and room-temperature tap water, or soak it overnight in denture cleanser for visible buildup. Never use abrasive toothpaste, baking soda, or harsh cleaning materials, since they damage the acrylic.
Keep it in a cool, dry protective case whenever it is not in use, which also keeps small children and pets away from it. Avoid hot places such as a parked car, since heat can warp or distort the material.
Children and teens whose mouths are still developing usually need a replacement each season. Adults can typically wear theirs for several years before it needs replacing.
Mouthguards and nightguards are frequently recommended for people showing signs of bruxism or TMJ disorder. Preventing the jaws from fully clenching rests the joint and prevents tooth wear.
Commercial guards can work for orthodontic patients because of the extra room they allow around appliances. They also serve as an entry-level option if you are unsure how a nightguard will feel.
Protect your pearly whites while sleeping or playing sports. Our dentist can help you decide whether a nightguard, sports guard, or daytime bite splint fits your situation best.
